Lauren Di Monte is Director of Research Initiatives at University of Rochester. In this role she provides strategic leadership for the River Campus Libraries research portfolio, and manages research impact, knowledge mobilization, and research infrastructure projects.
Before that she was a Libraries Fellow at North Carolina State University (NCSU), where she worked in on recruiting and visitor relations projects, and on Makerspace initiatives. During her time at NCSU Libraries she developed programs that facilitated critical and creative engagements with existing and emerging technologies, and collaborated with colleagues to re-imagine library services and to create more vibrant and inclusive library spaces.
Lauren completed a Master Information degree at the University of Toronto. She also holds a Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies from York University and a Bachelor of Arts in Visual Studies from the University of Toronto.
